Description
Pink Tenderness – pastels with bold black counterweights
A pastel collage of soft amorphous volumes – pink and cream at the upper left and along the left edge, ribbed white impasto blocks at the upper centre and upper right, and a large combed white-grey slab commanding the centre and lower right like folded fabric.
Technique & Texture
The tenderness has its counterplayers: on the right sits a large black textured mass like a crow, from which a thin dark branch rises to the top edge, a dark grey wedge cuts the left middle, a dark trapezoid pedestal anchors the lower centre, and a black blot crouches in the lower left corner. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – every volume carries its own texture.
The Motif
Olive-green stripes mark the left side and an olive arc the lower right; two tiny pink dots on the right and pink scribbles at the lower left hold the palette together. Tender and bold share the canvas in surprising harmony.
Styling & Placement
Contemporary wall art on canvas for bedrooms, living rooms and dressing rooms; the pastels calm, and the black counterweights make sure the painting reads not as sweet but as contemporary.

Pink Tenderness on your wall
Pink Tenderness is painted in 16 portrait sizes, from 40 x 63 to 200 x 319 cm. Upright, Pink Tenderness belongs on narrower walls: 50 x 79 or 60 x 95 cm for a hallway, 80 x 127 cm above a 120 cm console, which is about two thirds of its width, and 120 x 191 or 140 x 223 cm for a tall stairwell wall. Choose YES under Stretcher and the pastel canvas arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame is optional – the Frame menu starts at Without frame, so the pink and black painting gets one only if you add it. Delivery of Pink Tenderness takes 15–45 days.
In the photograph it hangs in an optional thin black frame on a pale panelled wall, beside a gilded armchair with cream upholstery. The pink volumes, the combed white-grey slab and the black counterweights are hand-painted on canvas, not printed.
