Raised gold rope-lines wandering into a cellular vein-mesh over teal glass threaded with rain-traces – kintsugi over a misty window: physical raised cords cast a shadow, in muted gold, knotted most densely at the left middle and lower centre.
Technique & Texture
At the lower right two large closed loops link, one in the curve of the other, and at the top three large arched cells open. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the lines are real relief cords standing out from every edge.
The Motif
The background carries vertical rain strokes, the brightest white-silver columns through the centre, teal pockets at the upper right, the left middle and the lower centre, and the darkest slate-blue in the corners. Cellular shapes and the veining of leaves, caught like gold seams on a morning window.
