Description
Golden Flight – a bird over a dark sea
A gold bird leaning across a dark textured sea under a misty grey light – three gold gestures on a grey-graphite atmosphere: the main form is a V-winged bird upper right of centre, two crusted gold wings meeting at a point, unmistakably in flight.
Technique & Texture
Below it a long gold band winds from the left middle down to the right along the dark mass, and a third gold wedge sits at the mid-right, cut by the right edge. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the gold is laid from leaf and glows in raking light.
The Motif
At the upper left a silver-grey mist shines, the brightest corner with fine dark scribble, striped grey-teal diagonals run through the mid-right, and across the lower left third and the bottom lies a heavy near-black textured mass, strewn with white spray like sea foam.
Styling & Placement
A poetic modern painting for living rooms, offices and reception areas; the gold bird draws the eye, the dark sea gives it depth. Wall art for walls that love movement and calm at once.

Golden Flight above a table, a sofa or in a meeting room
Golden Flight is offered in 14 sizes, from 80 x 50 to 280 x 175 cm, including three upright versions of the gold bird at 55 x 85, 70 x 110 and 100 x 150 cm. In the photograph it hangs above a long meeting table in a thin white frame, which shows how the gold bird over its dark sea works in an office. Over a 200 cm table or sofa, 130 x 80 cm spans about two thirds of the width, above a bed 160–180 cm wide choose 110 x 68 or 120 x 75 cm, and a long reception wall takes 200 x 125 cm.
Choose YES in the Stretcher menu and Golden Flight arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame for Golden Flight is optional, with the Frame menu starting at “Without frame”. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The gold bird, the gold band and the dark mass with its foam-like spray are hand-painted, so this painting is not a print.
Questions about Golden Flight
Which size of Golden Flight suits a 200 cm table?
Over a table 200 cm long choose 130 x 80 cm, and for a very long meeting table 160 x 100 cm, so the gold bird stays above the centre.
Is the white frame in the photograph included with Golden Flight?
No, the thin white frame in the photograph is optional and is added in the Frame menu, otherwise Golden Flight arrives unframed.
Can I order Golden Flight in a size that is not among the 14?
Yes, we paint the gold bird over the dark sea as a painting made to order in your measurements.
