Description

Colourful Spring – A Parade of Colours on a White Breath
An airy, playful panoramic painting: patches of colour travel horizontally across the canvas like a spring parade, while white prevails like a breath between the colours. On the left, pink-magenta and peach patches; left of centre, the darkest burgundy-brown mass with a teal streak; on the right, a soft apricot cloud and a mauve-plum mass with rusty streaks.
Technique & Texture
The colour fields are applied softly and airily, and among them wind thin line strokes and tiny scratch marks that add linear dynamics between the volumes. It is a hand-painted artistic painting, in which the scratching of the paint cannot be simulated with a digital brush – every incision is real, and in the video above you can watch it in motion.
The Motif
Each colour family has its place in the parade: beside the burgundy mass a tiny gold-yellow spot gleams, at the centre sky blue covers a dark red fragment, and along the right edge the patches fade out into a grey-blue tail with thin drips. The painting reads from left to right like a cheerful spring tale.
