Technique and texture
The mesh was dropped with a thin tip in long interwoven lines that never cross at a right angle. The two halves are not mirror images: the upper is more open and its mesh sparser, the lower denser and rounded up into a dome. The horizon is a narrow dark line that thins toward each side until it disappears. The outer edges of both halves darken into brown-red, which holds the glare in the centre.
