Pink Cloud – a glittering band between pink and white
Between a powder-pink top and a cream-white bottom floats a dense cloud of copper-gold glittering particles with pink-white sparkle: densest at the centre of the canvas, it sags softly toward both edges – a gentle arc with its peak at the centre.
Technique & Texture
The particles are real and three-dimensional – tiny beads and glitter laid in layers. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – from the core of the cloud, particles spray upward into the pink and downward into the white, ever sparser, until they fade out.
The Motif
The upper quarter is softly brushed powder pink, and the lower half a cream-white emptiness across which only a fine dust of particles trails off. The painting lives on light: every movement of the viewer ignites different sparks.
