Description

Mosaic of Trees – two trees in tiled squares
A square composition – two mosaic trees of square knife tiles lean toward each other, their crowns interweaving into a shared arch overhead, and below them a colour shore band and a pale mosaic reflection: the left trunk rises at a third of the width, the right at two thirds, both of teal, blue, red and gold tiles.
Technique & Texture
The trees lean inward, the crowns meeting at the upper centre in gold-dominant dabs – yellow, navy, red-orange and teal – and between the trunks a bright almond arcade opens. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – a light blue plaster sky breathes in both upper corners.
The Motif
A horizontal band of colour tiles forms the shore at three quarters of the height, and beneath it the water reflection is pale – a silver-white blocky impasto with barely visible colour echoes and grey ribbed slabs. Two trees embracing in a shared arch, where the saturated colours of the shore fade into the calm silver water below them.
Styling & Placement
A soothing abstract painting for living rooms, bedrooms and reception areas; the mosaic trees draw the eye, the pale reflection calms the room. Wall art for spaces that love nature and quiet.
