Description
Mint Sky – Clouds in a Winter Wind
This abstract painting invites you into a soft windiness: pale teal and violet-grey masses roll and dissolve in gentle mutual motion, like clouds in a windy winter sky. The composition is weightless and ethereal, yet carries its own light within.
Technique & Texture
Soft strokes, applied wet-in-wet, build thin, translucent layers that flow into one another; impasto appears only in the central white mass. It was the artist’s hand that brought in this inner light – this is a hand-painted artistic painting that not even he could repeat, let alone a printing machine.
The Motif
Dark teal accents are the only firm anchor points in an otherwise intangible composition – something certain amid the clouds. The bright white mass at the lower centre glows like an overlit patch of sky toward which every gaze flows.

Mint Sky for a bedroom or reading nook
Mint Sky is painted in 14 square sizes, from 40 x 40 to 180 x 180 cm. Its calm clouds of pale teal and violet grey belong in a bedroom or a reading nook. Above a bed 160–180 cm wide choose 110 x 110 or 120 x 120 cm, since that size covers about two thirds of the bed width. Over a 200 cm sofa Mint Sky works at 130 x 130 cm, and beside an armchair in a reading corner 60 x 60 or 70 x 70 cm.
If you choose YES in the Stretcher menu, Mint Sky arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher and ready to hang. No frame comes with Mint Sky unless you add one, as the Frame menu starts at “Without frame”. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The translucent wet-in-wet layers and the impasto in the white mass are hand-painted, so Mint Sky is not a print.
