Description
ZEN Stones – Balance That Calms the Gaze
A hyperrealistic still life of perfect peace: on a warm grey-beige background stands a precisely balanced cairn of eight stones, its soft shadow falling into the lower left corner. The painting is museum-quiet – a meditation in the colour of stone.
Technique & Texture
Each stone carries fine, engraved circular grooves – like nature’s fingerprints – while the grey stones bear thin white quartz veins. It is a hand-painted artistic painting, in which the illusion of reality is achieved with the brush alone: from the smooth gradient of the background to the last vein in the stone.
The Motif
The cairn rises from a large grey stone with white veins, over a tilted flat slab, to an elongated ochre-brown stone – the warmest and strongest among the stones. Above it the light intensifies: a two-tone oval, a large cream-white stone as the brightest point, and at the top a tiny brown pebble crowning the balance.
Styling & Placement
A perfect painting for spaces that seek peace – bedrooms, bathrooms, meditative corners, saunas, and relaxation rooms. The portrait format also comes alive beautifully in narrow spaces and hallways.

ZEN Stones for bathroom, bedroom and hallway
ZEN Stones is available in 14 portrait sizes, from 40 x 62 to 180 x 280 cm. A narrow bathroom wall takes 40 x 62 or 50 x 78 cm, the space beside a bed 60 x 95 cm, and a 105 cm console 70 x 110 cm, about two thirds of its width. In a hallway or stairwell, the cairn of eight stones holds the wall at 80 x 125 or 100 x 155 cm.
The smooth grey-beige gradient of the background and the white quartz veins are brushwork, because the ZEN Stones painting is hand-painted, not printed. Pick YES under Stretcher and the canvas with the stone cairn arrives on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame for ZEN Stones is optional, and the Frame menu starts at Without frame. Delivery takes 15–45 days. The first photograph shows the stone cairn head-on on the easel in an optional light frame, and the second photograph from an angle.
Questions about ZEN Stones
Which size of ZEN Stones suits a bathroom?
For a narrow wall by the basin or bath choose 40 x 62 or 50 x 78 cm, as the quiet greys and creams of the stones do not crowd a small room.
Is ZEN Stones printed?
No, the eight stones with their engraved circular grooves and quartz veins are hand-painted with a brush on canvas.
Is a frame included with ZEN Stones?
No. A frame for the grey-beige ZEN Stones canvas is added only if you choose one in the Frame menu, which starts at Without frame.
Can I order ZEN Stones in a different size?
If no measurement from 40 x 62 to 180 x 280 cm suits your wall, ask us about a painting made to order.
