Description
Black-and-White Tree – an ink story with a single red dot
A panoramic painting in the spirit of ink painting: a bare, wind-bent tree grows from a tuft of grass left of centre, its trunk leaning to the right while thin branches sweep far across the sky. Above it all arches a gigantic charcoal bow – like a storm front or a wave that enters at the upper left and descends on the right.
Technique & Texture
The painting is a monochrome play of ink and paper-white: beneath the dark bow a pale light breaks through along the horizon, and at the far right rests a low white mountain ridge. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the sweeps have soft, living edges of the kind only a real brush leaves.
The Motif
At the tip of a branch right of centre hangs a single tiny red dot – we first read it as a fruit, but it could also be a moon or a sun; it is precisely this openness that gives it power. Below, everything is mirrored in a grey band of water with white horizontal flashes – tree, bow and dot once more, more softly.
Styling & Placement

The panoramic painting Black and White Tree is offered in 17 landscape sizes, from 60 x 30 to 340 x 155 cm. Let the bent tree and the charcoal bow cover about two thirds of the furniture beneath: a 200 cm sofa takes 140 x 65 cm, a 160 cm bed 100 x 50 cm and a 180 cm bed 120 x 60 cm. For a dining table around 220 cm long choose 150 x 70 cm, and for a hallway 80 x 40 cm.
In the photograph the painting stands in an optional silver frame, propped on a studio table. That frame is not included, since the Frame menu starts at Without frame. Pick YES under Stretcher and the ink-black canvas arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. The tree with its tiny red dot is hand-painted with a brush, not printed. Delivery takes 15–45 days.
