A decorative botanical abstraction in warm balance: three pink-magenta blossoms with gold-rimmed petals stand evenly spaced across the canvas – the right one highest, the middle one largest. Technique & Texture
The upper field is laid on in heavy, plaster-like impasto with thin black calligraphic squiggles running across it, while the lower band is crossed by silver-white scratched lines and scattered droplets – like grass in dark soil. It is a hand-painted artistic painting; the video above (0:26) shows no painting, only the finished Flowers V, unframed on an easel in the frame shop, then a close-up of a red flower with a gold rim and raised paint, and finally the orange and black relief band along the bottom.
The Motif
Wiry black stems descend from the blossoms to the ground, accompanied at mid-height by silver-grey leaf silhouettes, delicate as lace. A soft pink-lavender haze at the centre links the warm lower and bright upper world – so each blossom has its own sky and its own earth.

A long hallway is well served by Flowers V at 150 x 75 cm.
