Tree on Golden Earth I – the tall sister of the red tree
The upright version of the golden-earth motif: the same family tree, but taller and more slender, almost like a figure. The red crown with cobalt-blue accents is lightened at the top by pale pink and cream petals, while its lower edge deepens into dark bordeaux – the shaded side that gives the crown its body.
Technique & Texture
The blossom applications are dense and raised in relief, the background a pale turquoise-grey with golden columns of light, and along every edge a dark vignette embraces the canvas like a frame within the frame. This is a hand-painted work of art – the shading of the crown from pink to bordeaux is the work of a brush, not a filter.
The Motif
The very tall, thin, almost black trunk splits only high up beneath the crown; at its foot a faint red line is drawn above the golden band of soil. The upright format doubles the feeling of growth – the tree climbs, it doesn’t merely stand.
