Description
Abstraction 9 – where hot meets cold
One canvas, two worlds: the left half burns in layers of red, orange and scarlet, the right cools into deep navy blue. Left of centre a white-yellow explosion of horizontal fragments erupts – the brightest event of the painting – and beneath it hide pockets of dark bordeaux.
Technique & Texture
The whole is a mosaic of knife strokes: small facets that break like ice and embers. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the border between warm and cold is not a straight line but an interwoven front where the facets bite into one another.
The Motif
At the upper right, teal-mint crystal rectangles shine like a glacier, while at the lower right a violet transitional zone calms both halves, with scattered red sparks biting into it. At the centre, orange spills over blue and teal fragments drift off to the left – an exchange, not a battle.
Styling & Placement
Dynamic wall art for living rooms, offices and meeting rooms; the warm-cool contrast enlivens neutral interiors and carries both warm and cold furnishings.
