Blue Mist – a city behind a fogged window

A teal and cream mist of woven strokes, through which the outlines of towers appear: the teal is heaviest in the upper two thirds of the left side, deepest in the upper left corner, and along the upper right a clear cluster of cream high-rises emerges – a city skyline in rain.

Technique & Texture

The strokes cross: vertical over horizontal, like weaving or rain-traces on a pane. This is a hand-painted canvas – the mist is built from dry, translucent layers, between which the ground breathes here and there.

The Motif

The lower third brightens into cream white with teal strands and horizontal white strokes, calmest at the lower centre; at the middle right rests a sage-green patch – a park among the high-rises. A pale silhouette hints at the upper left as well.

How do I choose the size of the Blue Haze painting for a wall above a sideboard?

The Blue Haze painting is available in 14 square sizes, from 40 x 40 to 180 x 180 cm. For a 150 cm sideboard choose 100 x 100 cm, about two thirds of the sideboard width, and over a 200 cm sofa go for 130 x 130 cm. Above a double bed, pick 110 x 110 or 120 x 120 cm; for a hallway or an office wall, 50 x 50 or 70 x 70 cm. The first photograph shows the Blue Haze painting in a slim pale frame above a wooden sideboard with vases, between two rust-coloured armchairs.

Li ho trovati per caso e sono davvero felice di averli scoperti! Sono artisti che realizzano dipinti su commissione, proprio come li desideri, e io ho trovato esattamente il quadro che cercavo. Non volevo una semplice stampa, ma un quadro vero e vivo.

Sono stati gentilissimi nel consigliarmi il dipinto, le dimensioni più adatte alla parete, anche con delle simulazioni, e la scelta della cornice.

Il quadro è arrivato già incorniciato e perfettamente imballato. Dal vivo è ancora più bello e tutti mi fanno i complimenti!
