Blue Wave – a river of incised lines with a coral edge
A dark slate-navy relief: a broad river of parallel wavy incised lines flows diagonally from the upper left toward the lower right, widening downward until at the bottom it claims almost the full width – like the growth rings of wood or sediments the water has written for centuries.
Technique & Texture
Along the right edge of the river runs an unbroken white lacy seam – a coral filigree border winding from the top edge to the lower right – and a second filigree fringe sits on the lower left edge. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the filigree is raised relief, not drawing.
The Motif
The upper right third stays a smooth, atmospheric slate-blue plane with barely visible vertical brushing – a calm sky above the current – while beneath the ridges lies a deep navy-black base that gives the wave its weight.
