Technique & Texture
A black column of a dress falls down the centre between cream figure planes, and at mid-height two white hands reach toward each other. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – a turquoise-blue curled fragment curls along the back of the right figure, and tan and beige planes lie left and right.
The Motif
At the foot of the black column is a zigzag mark, and at the lower right a signature. A line portrait of two figures in the cubist tradition, hinting at intimacy, which the viewer completes in the mind – a suggestiveness that invites.

The first photograph shows the painting from the front on a studio easel with an optional light wooden frame, and the second photograph turns to the side on the same easel, showing the frame edge.
