Description
Line Geometry – a black armature with one runaway stroke
An expressive black armature on textured white: a vertical bar at the upper left, a thick horizontal beam crossing the full width in the upper third at a slight slope, and a black vertical band on the right whose right flank is opened by three white notches at the right edge – windows.
Technique & Texture
The sweeps are broad, dry and decisive, and the white between them is not a background but an active plane – the central white window and the passages between the beams breathe as loudly as the black. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the dry edges of the sweeps show the speed of the hand.
The Motif
Left of centre a vertical stroke descends through the lower half and meets the horizontal bar in an L-junction; then the painting does the unexpected: a diagonal sweep escapes from the centre down toward the lower right corner, tapering – the only move that keeps no right angle.

Sizes and delivery for Line Geometry
Line Geometry is painted in 15 upright sizes, from 40 x 55 to 200 x 279 cm. A narrow wall beside a door needs only 40 x 55 or 50 x 69 cm, 60 x 83 or 70 x 97 cm suits a 100 cm console, and a tall stairwell wall has room for 100 x 139 or 120 x 167 cm. The first photograph shows the black armature above a dining table next to a wooden plinth with dried grass, and the second photograph hangs the same canvas over a beige sofa, both times in a pale frame.
Choose YES under Stretcher and Line Geometry arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. The pale frame in the photographs is not included, and for Line Geometry the Frame menu starts at Without frame. This painting is hand-painted in broad dry sweeps of black on textured white, so it is not a print. Delivery of Line Geometry takes 15–45 days.
Questions about Line Geometry
Which size of Line Geometry fits above a console?
For a 100 cm console choose 60 x 83 or 70 x 97 cm, so the black beams stay within two thirds of its length.
Is the frame from the photographs included with Line Geometry?
No, the Frame menu starts at Without frame, and the pale frame around the black-and-white composition is chosen separately.
Is Line Geometry printed on canvas?
No, the dry edges of the black sweeps and the diagonal running to the lower right corner are painted by hand.
Can I order Line Geometry in another size?
Yes, besides the 15 sizes from 40 x 55 to 200 x 279 cm we paint the black armature as a custom-size painting.
