Description

Golden Arc – a dune beneath a slate cap
A grainy dune landscape in portrait format: beneath a pale summit strip lies a dark slate-grey cap covering only the upper left half – its boundary is an organic arc that steps upward right of centre, outlined by a thin white seam – the arc of the title, given its golden colour by the zone beneath it.
Technique & Texture
Below the cap, in the upper two fifths, glows a golden grainy zone, richest left of centre and at the centre, fading toward the right and downward through a pink-beige transition. This is a hand-painted work of art – the whole surface carries a heavy sand-like relief of fine grains.
The Motif
The lower sixty percent is a pale white-grey gravel lowland with soft grey vertical shadows between the middle and lower thirds and a calm floor – a dune draining into light. A snow line and a shore in the same arc.
Styling & Placement
A calm art painting for bedrooms, living rooms and offices; the earthy palette and sand relief make it warm up close and quiet from afar – a sister of the Golden Band in portrait format, and wall art that lets the room breathe.
