Description
Blue Soothes – a misty city in cool planes
A mosaic of small vertical knife facets in cool tones: teal, turquoise, pale blue, white-cream and grey-olive. The facets gather into vertical towers – like the outlines of a city in rain or dusk – and between them a white mist breathes.
Technique & Texture
Each facet is one press of the knife; the teal columns run the full height at even intervals. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – thousands of presses, each with its own edge and its own trace.
The Motif
The light is cool, even and without a source – the painting does not show a moment but a mood. Darker olive-grey pockets along the lower edge ground the composition; the title keeps its word: blue truly does soothe.

Soothing Blue: panoramic sizes for beds and sofas
Soothing Blue, built from upright palette-knife facets, comes in 19 landscape sizes, from 60 x 30 to 340 x 165 cm. Let the panoramic canvas take two thirds of the furniture below it: 110 x 53 or 120 x 60 cm above a 160–180 cm bed, 130 x 63 or 140 x 68 cm over a 200 cm sofa, 160 x 77 cm above a dining table, and 180 x 90 cm along a long hallway.
In the photograph Soothing Blue stands on a studio easel, still wrapped in protective film and set in a pale silver frame. A frame is optional: for the misty city the Frame menu starts at Without frame. Choose YES in the Stretcher menu and the canvas arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. Delivery takes 15–45 days. Each teal facet is one hand-painted press of the knife, so the painting is not a print.
