Description
Silver Field – a window of light in frozen mist
A silver-grey weathered field, in whose upper half, left of centre, opens a bright silver-white window of light: built from horizontal scratched strokes, with pale bluish hints and veins of cracks, framed by grey-beige surroundings.
Technique & Texture
The surface is metal, frost and mist at once: scratched lines run horizontally and vertically, and two thin vertical cracks descend at a fifth and at a good three fifths of the width. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – the light in the window is a furrowed relief, not a glow.
The Motif
Beneath the bright field, a darker grey blurred band crosses the full width, and the lower part calms into grey-beige with pale lighter streaks; the darkest are the lower left corner and the bottom edge. The whole breathes like a frozen breath on a windowpane.
Styling & Placement
Calm modern wall wall art for bedrooms, offices and northern-styled rooms; the silver palette cools in summer and catches the low light in winter.

Silver Field: an upright canvas for kitchen, entrance hall and stairwell
Silver Field is painted in 13 portrait sizes, from 40 x 60 to 180 x 240 cm. Above a console or on a narrow entrance-hall wall choose 50 x 65 or 60 x 90 cm, and beside a dining table or kitchen island, 80 x 120 cm. For a stairwell take 100 x 130 or 110 x 150 cm, while in a tall open-plan room 150 x 200 cm gives the silver window of light its full presence.
The first photograph shows Silver Field in a slim silver frame above a round wooden side table, and the second photograph places it on a curved wall behind a marble kitchen island with two ochre bar stools. Choose YES in the Stretcher menu and the canvas with its scratched lines arrives stretched on a wooden stretcher, ready to hang. A frame is optional: for Silver Field the Frame menu starts at “Without frame”. Delivery of Silver Field takes 15–45 days. Silver Field is hand-painted, its window of light a furrowed relief, so it is not a print.
