Organic Tissue – warm and cool in a diagonal gradient
A deep organic relief of combed fan rosettes, divided by a diagonal into two worlds: a warm rust-terracotta fan world in the lower left half, deepest in colour at the lower left corner, and a cool silver-white world at the upper right, brightest at the top right.
Technique & Texture
Between them runs a grey-beige transition zone – the upper left corner is grey-beige as well – and the border travels diagonally from the left middle toward the lower right. This is a hand-painted painting on canvas – every rosette is combed in its own direction and the relief is truly deep.
The Motif
The seams between the fans are filled with a cellular honeycomb microtexture, like snakeskin or coral, most visible at the centre of the canvas and along the lower centre – the tissue that stitches both worlds into one organism.
