The painting belongs to the priceless series of oils on canvas with the motif of naked women. In these works, the painter continues the tradition of depicting Venus in a slightly different way, relying heavily on African and Cambodian art. His interest in African art in particular is very evident in this oil on canvas. The figure of a woman has a mask face, prominent almond-shaped eyes, pursed lips, a turned-up nose and an elongated neck. In similar paintings, Modigliani used figures with dark hair, full breasts and wide hips. Their appearance is Mediterranean.
