The model in this painting (it is assumed that the painter in the painting depicted one model in three different poses rather than three models together) is shown after bathing as she dries off and then gets dressed. It is not known why the painter depicted the model in front of part of the canvas of his most famous painting A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, in which all visitors to the park are decently dressed.
