A group of dancers in blue skirts stands pressed together just before going on. One lifts her arms to her hair, another settles a shoulder strap, a third bends forward; the faces are barely indicated and the bodies overlap like a single movement.
The skirts are laid in dense blue and greenish passages that dissolve into light towards the edges. Among them an orange sash flares on a figure at the back, the one warm note in the scene.
The ground behind is not a room but a shimmering surface of green and yellow dabs, a flat with painted foliage; at the right a dark brown vertical pier closes the canvas. The signature is at the lower left.
Our version is a hand-painted oil painting on canvas. Each canvas is made individually, in the size and frame you choose.
